Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park features a zoo in a laid-back savanna-style with open-air areas and life-like animal displays, such as leaping Polar Bears.
A Monet garden has been constructed in the botanical park, complete with displays of the same water lilies, weeping willows, and wisteria plants that inspired Claude Monet’s famous paintings. The park gained historical status when, in 1996, these Monet water lilies were first brought to Japan to celebrate the park’s opening. The area is perfect for those who love taking photos or painting.
The museum features an Anatosaurus skeleton display, while a Ferris wheel and rollercoaster add to the full atmosphere of an amusement park.
